wear rubber gloves and may want to spray an insecticide after the nest has been removed. After the area has been cleaned of the nest either use screening or a product such as "Bird No More" to keep them from coming back. Should try to secure the opening that was allowing the nest material inside the home also.
we have always placed rubber/plastic snakes in areas that were inviting critters try it it may work for you
thats Bush joke.
kinda strange

If it just fell off, maybe you didn't have it installed correctly....or maybe it's just that cheap Chinese junk that everybody wants to push off on the american public and make them think that they're getting a bargain. You get what you pay for. I value my cars so I buy the good stuff. (It's cheaper in the long run!)
You belt tensioner might well be too loose.
first check your key way-on crank and key for ware try a junk yard part . less expansive but check it out if and ask deal thank you about bring back
look on the crank and see if the key way is still there. just go to the junk yard and get a good 1 there.

Even though you've said you're not overfeeding him, that's the number one cause of cloudy water. Other possibilities include ammonia build-up in the water (not usually a problem for betas) and algae growth. Of course, the problem could just be the water you used. If you're truly concerned, try buying distilled water (not regular bottled water, which is mostly garbage anyway) and changing the water. (I assume you know how to change water without trauma to the fish.) You might also try disturbing the rocks on the bottom of the tank. If doing so reveals clouds of stuff, then overfeeding is probably the problem.
i used to have one but t died like 3 weeks ago but anyway you should clean it every week if that does not work it also could just be its poop and pea
Not unusual, especially if the tank is newly set up. It will be a harmless bloom of bacteria or diatoms. Just leave the tank alone for a week or 2 (just normal clean and part water changes) and see if it settles down. Dumping in chemicals or doing large water changes usually makes things worse.
Ian
It possibly is your water conditioner. You want to make sure your using sufficient amount for the size of tank you have. If it says 4 drops per gallon, then make sure you put the right amount or it will saturate the tank like it's doing now. If you're putting the stated amount in your tank and it's still doing it, I'd only put the conditioner in once every few weeks, or depending on how hazy it is. Try not using it at all and go from there. Like every fish tank, you also want to make sure you're cleaning it every other week. It's a smaller tank, so it's obviously going to get dirty more frequently. Good Luck.
your fish is all right mine has a messy tank but it's cool 'cus it needs the dirt in the tank dirty to let it survive go to your local pet store and you might be Abel to find a water shampoo or conditioner to put in it to make it clearer.
nice set-up!!
sounds like you are a good Betta owner, awesome.
i do not think it is the stress drops...and it is good that you are looking at the bottom for left overs...they are culprits.
if the tank is still new-ish, give it some more time to settle.
i think we all go throught this period.
i know you can buy the Water Clarifiers that can/could make you water lose that haze clear in 24 hours...
you could try that. i admit, i have used it.
BUT, more than likely if you cycled your tank, then it is just things settling and you will find that it will clear up soon.
I know it is frustrating to not have that crystal clear pet smart water, eh?
but you will be ok!!!
sounds like you are on the right path.
check your levels to make sure!!!!
always check those levels! (as you know i am sure)
and it sounds like he is one active little man!!!
i know, just the littlest bit of haze can errrrk ya.
it does me!!!! arg!!
BUT, the fish is alllll good.
it's just us being all selfish n stuff .... tee-hee.
good for you with the set-up!!!!!!! yay!!! yay for heated water
yay for 80 degreeeeees!!
yay for your Mr. Betta.
most people do not go to the lenghts you have gone to for a Betta.
We always get out of TEN-FOLD what you out into it, they are such amazing fish, you know???
much peace.
Try a phosphate absorber if you use tap water with a conditioner it may be the water that you have, they sell them at Petsmart for $3. Also, if it's fairly new water, then just give it some time. Does he eat all of his food? If even a little stays uneaten, then the water will become cloudy.
hi i work at pet-smart, this is whats wrong Betta's breath our air not filtered and your filter might be dirty as well. but other than that some cloudiness is normal.
How long has this tank been running?
It's possible that it's still cycling (or undergoing a "mini-cycle" if it was cycled prior to the introduction of the fish). If this is the case, I'd guess what you're looking at is a bacterial bloom.
I would advise that you limit the amount of food offered at each feeding (be sure to remove anything left uneaten after 5 minutes) and just let your cycle complete. Don't add clarifiers or other unnecessary chemical additives. This will only inhibit your tank's natural chemistry and may prolong or stall the cycle. Also, be sure you're keeping up with regular partial water changes to keep nitrates down. If you don't already have one, you might want to pick up a test kit. You want your ammonia at 0, nitrites at 0, and nitrates at or below 20ppm.
to get ride of the cloudiness u should clean your bowl once a week and scrub it BUT NOT WITH SOAP and put room temperature water and put the water conditioner and it should stay clean for about a week
Ha ha, I was told (when I was 13...12 years ago!) That it would make my hair grow.
I'm thinkin....if horses have there own shampoo....and humans have their own shampoo......
Whats best for our hair is probably what was formulated for IT.
Don't try it...it smells funny, and it doesnt do anything.
Go to a stylist.
no Mane n tail won't do anything to straighten out your hair.
Blow dry your hair with large round brush will sometimes help straighten it. Depends on how curley it is.
The best technique to follow to straighten your hair is any of these:
1) Apply a smoothing serum on to your hair while it's damp and blow dry with a flat paddle brush.
or
2) There are now straightening cremes you can put into your hair and just blow dry straight.
or
3) You can also go out and buy a straightener.
or
4) You can set an African American relaxer in your hair for about 5 - 10 minutes, and rinse it off. It should make your hair somewhat more straighter. (This advice was given to me by a drug store worker).
I don't think the M & T shampoos effect the texture of hair. I know they are suppose to make it stronger, but I doubt straighter.
Your best bet is to try one of these methods, above.
I don't know about it straightening your hair but I know it's a good shampoo if you want to make your hair grow long.
go with LG 1.5 ton a/c.
It is best for u r room size.
hello there my room is just a bit bigger than that and i have a 1.5 and samsung is a realy good one but make sure u get a a.c that has the energy star on it so it wont kill your light bill i got one that dident have the energy star then i got one that had the energy star and my light bill went down about 30 dollers good luck on your shopping get it now before they get expensive
You can go either for 1ton or 1.5ton.
Running time for 1.5 ton will be less.It will be slightly more for 1ton, that is the difference.(Running time is like you set the ac temperature as 24deg, 1,5 ton will run for 5 minutes and off, 1 ton will run for 10 minutes and off, this cycle will continue)
Best ac makes are Hitachi and Voltas.
consult with an electronic shop nearby.
yes
not a swamp cooler, your humidity is too high. you need to remove the moisture from that air
.Actually, a dehumidifier would be a good thing to try.
Yep it sure will. Works great.
If you're still unsure you can ask the salesman.
evaporative air conditioners are not very good with high humidity. They need low humid conditions to work properly.
I had one years ago and it was a failure to cool a room down, not much better than just a fan by itself.
Get a refridgerated AC and just have the temp turned to , say, 24c and it will be perfect.
it did for me it will but it probly will go away fast like in 5 minites the longes it last is for like 10 minets it think wat will help is air fresner or that plus the furnishing one i tried it last for like 12 hours and not to be rude but if you ask a sales man there will say yes for you can buy it or try dehumidifer some thing like that
gl hope you find and get a good one : D <3
NO WHEN the humidity is high, there is to much
moister in the air. A cold air system is better.
Absolutely will not work! You're humidity is way too high! A evaporative swamp cooler max humidity is about 30% for any decent cooling. Any humidity higher than that and you're wasting energy. Get a central unit or a portable refrigerated unit and you'll be OK.
It's the frequency of the alternating current. Using a 50 Hz motor on 60Hz will make it run faster, and also may make it less efficient and overheat. Clocks, and other devices that rely on the frequency of the incoming current, will also run fast.
DK
If i were you i would change my condenser. Thats the thing that the belt wraps around. If you didn't already know that. your condenser may be working to hard therefore over heating your coil.
are you sure it was this solenoid you talk of
usually the a/c relay craps out this is indicated by the a/c light blinking or a/c blowing warm .
i think Dr. Einstein was thinking of the a/c compressor not condenser the condenser is the radiator looking component in front of radiator
If I were you I would take him out and start over with fresh water and conditioner. Maybe you put too much?
We have a 2 gallon with one Beta and have never had a problem.
Good luck!
when i had it, the pet store told me to set the tank up for abt a week before i put my beta in. I dont know why it could be foggy. Betas arnt very livly. the usally just sit in one place. I remember when i had bubbles at the top of mine to. I dont know why they do that but i guess it just settles in. What type of food is it? I used one that looked like little tiny balls. It was mainly made up of blood worms.
ok well first of all in a 2 gallon tank you are going to have to change the water every 2-3 days!!!
So the cloudyness is the water trying to go through a cycle.. but you wont be doing this as you have a small tank.
Take the betta out and change all the water, rinse the gravel out of the bottom and refill it with water that is the same temp as the water you took out (as change in water temp can shock the fish and kill it)
Betta fish breath air from the surface and coat it with saliva and pop it back out... later he will try and build a bubble nest with it *which is where he would put the females eggs when they mate* wich i wouldnt recomend you to do.. but its normal.
Betta's need a heated tank.. you can not buy a proper heater for smaller then a 5 gallon... you could by this one and it will raise the temp by a few degress... http://images.google.ca/imgres?imgurl=http://www.fish.com/ProdImages/P55559.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.fish.com/itemdy00.asp%3FT1%3D710083&h=200&w=200&sz=16&hl=en&start=2&um=1&tbnid=ycEhJ47GY60EjM:&tbnh=104&tbnw=104&prev=/images%3Fq%3D7.5%2Bwatt%2Bheater%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN
He is losing colour and not eating as he is stressed and sitting in his own poopies.
Also it takes some bettas up to a week when you first bring them home to eat something.
I would get a 5 gallon tank, that way you would only have to change 30% of the water once a week and the betta fish can stay in there well you do it... way less stress for your fish, which he doesnt need as he is so sick right now...
and you can get a proper heater, a 25 watt heater (5 watts per gallon)
i would also recomend a low current sponge filter (for a 5 gallon tank) and read up on how to cycle a tank.
This is the filter i have in my betta's 5 gallon http://images.google.ca/imgres?imgurl=http://www.just4fish.com.au/products/elite%2520mini%2520lg.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.just4fish.com.au/product_info.php%3Fproduct_id%3D149&h=240&w=240&sz=11&hl=en&start=1&um=1&tbnid=1vh5QiCovAkyGM:&tbnh=110&tbnw=110&prev=/images%3Fq%3Delite%2Bmini%2Bfilter%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den
Good Luck, i hope your little guy makes it
Megs ?
EDIT; the tank could also have gotten foggy if you didnt rinse everything (the tank, the SILK plants, the gravel the decorations) really well before you put them in the tank... as they would have had dust on it.
Change the water. The bubbles are normal and it is supposed to be a good sign. it is a bubblenest and that shows that he is feeling good enough to want to reproduce. Bettas are not supposed to be like that. They are supposed to be lively and active, maybe the wate is cold. They sell mini 7.5 watt heater in wal mart for only 7$. These websites tells you all you have to know about bettas.
http://www.bettatalk.com
http://bettysplendens.com
If the betta is a male one, and the bubbles are in cluster, then he is bulding a bubble nest. I suggest that you change the water, and add a few live plants, and also add a aeration pump. When the water stays still then at the surface of the water, slime would develop, slime can sometime prevent your betta to go to the surface and breathe.
Best solution: change water, add an aeration pump at minimum power so that the water would have motion. Don't put the aeration pump on high power because betta doesn't like strong moving water current.
first if all betta breath in air from the top of the cage so the fish isnt suffercating in the foggy water. He is losing color probably because he is stressed out. I would clean the tank completely and start over. Its possibly that u were over feeding him and the water got too cloudy.
ok take the betta out, and put him in the little contanier you brought him home in. now. change 90% of the water. and add the betta back in 2 days, feed it in the little bowl
Air Conditioning in Cars The first car with an actual refrigeration system was the 1940 model year Packard.
Update to this argument : http://www.chrysler300country.com/airtemp_2.htm
Read it yourself
But the first car with an actual refrigeration system was the 1939 Packard.........................
THERE ARE SOME ooooLD DUDES IN HERE!!!!!!
Packard was the first, but I don't remember the year.
a fair few earn 80k plus. That comes from being on contracts, which means stuff like sick leave, annual leave and super arent taken into the equation. Those who do work 50+ hours a week.
The big tradeoff is the low pay as an apprentice. A mate of mine is doing a sparky apprenticeship and for the first year he was earning 8.50 an hour, and working 60 hours a week...because minimum wages set in awards dont cover arrangements where training (such as apprenticeships) are involved.
However, the skills shortage in Australia will mean that tradies will be in higher demand, which means more money.
Everything is in Aussie dollars.
like most jobs depends on who you work for ,im a red seal ticketed cnc machinist with over 17 years in the trade, i work with lots of electricians most agree with me! ,,most ball park a good wage is about 28 to 30 usd per/hour
Check out Salary.com.
It doesn't use pistons, it uses a rotary set up like the Wankel engine. This shows how a rotary engine works. Same principle.
http://www.keveney.com/Wankel.html
What did they tell you need to replace? It sounds like it's just a bad ac switch. Why didn't they change the switch.
It will have a body control module. they do go bad. something to check
If you must run this off of an extension cord..get at least a 10 guage extension cord..that is what I use to run my airless spray rigs and compressors..Do not run more than 1 item at a time on this cord though..
Just out of curiosity, are these going to be run to the same room?
Rewiring a whole house can be expensive, yes, but better than the alternative, if your home has old wiring, that is a fire hazard.
But you may not need to rewire the whole house at once.
Do you have room in your circuit box for additional circuits?
And, do you have a basement where you can easily run the wire?
You could actually do much of the 'physical labor' ...aka... 'grunt work' ... yourself, to run a line or two, and hire an electrician just to come in and do the final connection. He would inspect your work to make sure it is safe, and up to code. There are those of us who understand a tight budget, hehehe, and are willing to work with folks.
If you do not have a basement, or attic where you could easily run the additional wire, you can always run it around the outside of the home in conduit.
If you do not have room for additional circuits in your existing circuit panel, you can run the new wiring to a 'sub panel' which could be placed anywhere you need it.
I have extensions cords for my work... they can get expensive really quick, hehehe...Ive paid well over $100 for some of my heavy duty cords to run my tools. And, youve got to remember, not only are you putting a draw on the cord itself, but also any electrical oulet you are plugging them into (which can be a hazard if, as you mention, your house wiring is sub-par to begin with).
With that being said, I would also recommend an 8 or 10 gauge cord for this application. Right now, you can get an 8/3 cord, 25 long for about $75 on ebay.....thats about the same price you would pay for a whole roll of 'romex' wire (about 200 to 250 ft), and the supplies to run the circuit. For the same price you will pay for a single short extension cord... you can literally get enough wire to run several circuits. A 'contractor grade' extension cord, 10/3 at 50 foot is running about $70. 12 gauge cords are considerably less expensive, but would not be heavy enough for those two items you mention.
Now... a 12/3 roll of 'romex' wire would be heavy enough for what you want... you see, the typical household wiring is made differently from extension cords, and can carry a heavier load. Extension cords need to be flexible, so the "wire" inside it is made up of many strands, whereas the 'romex' wire you would use in the walls... is made of solid wire...it will not heat up like the multi-strand wiring of an extension cord. Romex right now is running anywhere from $40 to $80 per roll, depending on where you live, and that's for 250ft of wire.
You can purchase a 100 amp circuit panel box for about $50 to $70 dollars.
So, you can purchase a single extension cord right now, or you can spend just a few dollars more, and get enough supplies to run 10 new circuits.
I would ask a few electricians to come in, take a look at what youve got now, and give you some recommendations. Ask for an estimate...ask them if you can do part of the work to lower the cost (can't hurt to ask, and estimates are free).
By the way, just for convenience sake I pulled all the prices I've mentioned here off of ebay, to which you would need to add shipping charges... spend a little time shopping at local outlets, and I think you may be able to beat those prices.
Good Luck
Just to reiterate what everyone else is saying, I am using a heavy duty 25 ft 12 ga extension cord for 8000 btu portable AC (~9 amp) OR 1500 watt heater (typically 700 watt on setting 1) on a dedicated 20 amp circuit.
But that 12 ga cord is rated 15 amp and your 2000 watt heater would need a cord (and circuit) rated for 20 amp. So you would need at least 10 ga cord.
coolong system...heat sink .. change it
Try cleaning out the inside of the computer, its probably a dust buildup on the fan blades.
o
Hard drive make noise or loud noise, deped on your computer usage, if you running a lot of program, it will make more noise when run ntng. Flash rive is avalible for pc, but is pricey now, wait end or next year, will be best solution for your problem, it has no noise, is instant access memory.
fan bearing going out.
check the components inside CPU.
Remove dust if any....
Check each parts including "SMPS"
I recomend vacuming out your CPU fan.
It also depends on how old your computer is
phlex89
Start by getting some canned air and blowing it out thoroughly, if that doesn't work you will probably need to get the heatsink replaced that or the CPU fan itself will need to be replaced.
Your Hard disk may just be on its way out... I will advise that you save your document before the hard disk final crash.
However, there are few things I will like you to check before you write off your hard disk, check that there is proper connections everywhere inside your system. Also see that no cables are touching anything that could be the cause of the noise.
But from the way you described your problem, I have no doubt what you are looking at is a possible failure that will happen very soon with your hard disk.
