you could use fans instead of your central air,and keep your curtains closed in the windows you don't have fans in.reflective films on the window i hear does help.nothing about the bamboo sheets though.
The key is to keep the IR enegry from the sun out of the house. Replace window with Low E glass, or use a low E reflective film. A small window unit air conditioner may help as you can use it to cool only the room you use the most. Also, close AC vents in rooms that are not in use.
Keeping the shades drawn in the day to keep out sunlight helps. Open the shades and windows at night to let cool air, it will help keep the house cool during the day. Yes, bamboo sheets do having a cooling effect, even more though is a bamboo mat that lays on top of your mattress. Many Chinese people sleep directly on them but putting a sheet on top will not alter its affect. As for a window a/c, that depends on where you live and what floor you live on.
More info is needed to answer this question but I'll tell you somethings that probably will help. Yes E- films for windows reduce the waves of sunlight from heating the rooms.Overhangs help block sunlight in summer and let the sun collect in the winter for added heat. Also just as caulking around windows and cutting down drafts, and insulating helps save heat - it also keeps heat out. The prior usually is the problem. You should also clean heat exchangers on your air conditioning unit just like a furnace filter it will work better. Have the system checked for freon and proper pressures. Most small window air conditioners cost more to operate because they are smaller and can't keep up with infiltration and exfiltration.
for a 13 X 13meter square, area =1818.6 sq ft., The rule of ton is 1 ton per 500 sq ft of floor area, so tpns of refrigeration = 1818.6/500 =3.63 tons or 4 tons of refrigeration., 5 Hp
12 X 12 meter square, Area = 12X 12(3.28)(3.28)
= 1549.2sq .ft.
tons of Refrigeration required = 1549.2/500
=3.09 3 Hp air conditioner
16 x16,eter square , Area = 16 X 16(3.28)(3.28)
=2754 sq.ft.
Tons of refrigeration required = 2754/500
=5.5 tons ,7.5Hp, air conditioner
Or, if your thumb doesn't come equipped with a ruler, you could use the ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Airconditioning Engineers) Manual 'J' as required by code in most jurisdictions to size heating and cooling equipment.
You calculate the BTU heat loss (or gain) specifically, then size the equipment to meet the actual load. Adding insulation, shading, etc. can reduce the size of the equipment required.
http://www.proctoreng.com/articles/sidebar.html
http://epb.lbl.gov/standards.html
Obviously you dont want a larger size and have to start a major chop job on the wall, but you also dont want one that is
many BTU's smaller. The phisical size is not necessarily tied to the BTU's. shop around and its not too hard to install with a
few tools and make sure to do something to cover any gaps.
Make sure if its 220v or 110V and replace with the same.
Most of these A/C units now have expandable curtains to fit holes lerger than the unit itself. Measure your hole and compare it to the expandale dimensions on the units at the store. Most are just plug in, so yes, just unplug the old one, mount the new one, and plug it in. Make sure to set the angle right or the bottom of the unit will fill up and the fan will spit water. When I had those units, I even drill a couple holes in the bottom for drainage as they ran all the time and would fill up on me. It didnt effect the unit or it's production at all.
just put a smaller one in the hole and dress up the gaps. Just buy one first and see how it goes. If its ok with you then go and get another one.
i did this in my house . because the new air conditioner are smaller and put out more air . if you buy one little smaller then the hole, make a frame to put in the hole. then you can make a picture frame on the out side to dress it up you will be ok that way and it will save you a lot of money. handly man at work good luck
haha....
wow..
good joke =p
that's kind of stupid!!!!
hehe..obvious..
hahahahaha.......must've been a blonde redneck!!

Hillbillies Chickens
Two Hillbillies meet on a dusty country road. One of them is carrying a big bag labeled, "chickens."
"Chickens, eh?" says one guy. "Hey, if I guess how many chickens you got, will you give me one?"
"Heck," says the guy with the bag, "iffin you guess right, I'll give you both of 'em."
The other scratches his head and guesses, "Um... five?"
Q: How do you tell the bride at a hillbilly wedding?
A: She's wearing the cleanest shirt.
Q: How do you circumcise a hillbilly?
A: Kick his sister in the chin.
Q: What does a 13 year old girl from Tennessee say after sex?
A: " Git offa me, daddy, you're crunching my cigarettes!
GOOD .
Hehe, funny.
Keep it clean, kept my ends clipped and didn't get a relaxer.
you may have to take special products for your hair.
but just to make your life easierr.....
use hair extensions.
i grew out my hair to my lower back, but it was unconsciously, i just never cut it...
it is really healthy, and thats because i don't straighten/ blowdry, or even comb. just run my fingers through it.
but mhh maybe a few tips... if you keep straightening your hair, it might get too dry, maybe dont straighten too muchalso if you have very thin and delicate hair, as it gets longer, it falls off easier, so thats another thing to look for..
i heard if you braid your hair before you go to sleep, it grows faster... not sure thought...
well hope everything goes well..
goodluck in you wedding
Clip, but not too much, and wait.
My hair has never been that long :( but I am a hairstylist for 17 years, gosh that sound totally wrong.
If your intention is to grow out your Locks- only cut it every 8 weeks, and make sure you have a Hairstylist that listen to what you need, not just do what she wants. How do you know she is listening, during the consultation is she making eye contact and listening to you, make sure she physically show you the length that she is about to take off. If she doesn't do this then you are not on the same page. Also she should recommend the products that are going to work best for your hair, and styling tips.
If you like Strait hair my favorite is the Super Skinny Line by Paul Mitchell- Smells and Works Great.
You will need the Shampoo, Conditioner, and the Serum.
Good luck, and Congratulations.
Oil massage!! that's it!
What kind of hair straightener are you using? If its a good one, ceramic, it shouldnt hurt your hair too much.
I'm trying to grow my hair out too and the best thing thats worked for me is green tea, but not the sugar loaded kind, the tea bags that you have to brew and drink it straight. Its kinda nasty at 1rst but you get used to it. try and drink at least 3-4 cups a day. I've been doing this for awhile now and I have noticed a huge difference! Get a trim about every 6-8 weeks and tell your hairstylist just a trim.. sometimes if you don't mention that your trying to grow your hair out and all you want is a little bit taken off.... they'll take off too much and all your hard work goes down the drain... oh and hair vitamins are good too.. even just the cheap ones help.. Good Luck !!
i use beetroot juice with pure mehendi powder once a week. or mix pure alovera to mehendi.my hair has grown very long.plus a multivitamin once aweek.
A proper diet supplemented adequately by vitamins and minerals will optimize the genetic growth cycle. Any deficiency will be reflected in the volume and thickness of your hair. The luster in your hair will depend on what you eat and also on how you treat it. To Know more about your hair http://tipsfromruby-hairgrow.blogspot.com/ will help you.
It might but i thought that only worked with heat.
It probably will. I'd say just try it. If it doesn't work, then splash water all over the walls. lol just kidding.
buy a humidifer
Maybe but that's a burden to have around so why not keep the door open or open windows once in a while?
Yes, but nothing like a humidifier will.
Here is a link to a humidifier I bought a couple months ago. It works VERY well and is only $110!
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000H95Q0I
Buy a moisturizer
yes
I use a humidifier
no i dont think so but i heard if u do then u get inner peace!
Yes it will work
Yes it helps but you can always just purchase a humidifier. Put a little money into it or get a good one on sale. The cheap ones are LOUD.
Buy a cheap humidifier.
They can run $30 and less.
no. Does it matter that your room is dry? try giving it a good hose down before bed lol. No seriously buy a humidifier.
EDIT< i can't believe i got a thumbs down for throwing in some light humour.
just use a humidifier
buy a humidifier that would help alot put some moisture back into your room.
It could, I guess, but I don't think it will make a significant difference, and it can be easy to spill the water, and the water can get stagnant if you leave it sitting around all the time.
Heating some water, such as a crockpot with the lid off, will produce more humidity. The heat will encourage evaporation. However, by adding heat and humidity into the room, it will increase your energy usage, because your A/C will work harder to cool the air back down again, and the room will need to be cooler due to the humidity, for you to feel cool.
The most effective way to add humidity to a room is to go down to the drugstore and get a cool water humidifier for about $30 or so, which works by wetting a filter and using a fan to pull air through it. I guess you could do the same thing by hanging a wet towel near your A/C, but you'd have to re-wet it frequently, but that's a lot of work and it would drip and it still would not be as efficient as a humidifier.
It's easier to just buy a humidifier which has a large tank that will run for 8 or 12 hours. A large tank is needed because If it runs out of water in the middle of the night, it can actually start DEhumidifying the room and blowing dust around, and that can be very uncomfortable.
It's a good idea to have high and low settings. You want the right amount. Too much humidity in the room increases dust mite populations and also makes the room feel muggy and hot. Mine also has a feature that runs for about 30 minutes after it is turned off to thoroughly dry off the filter. This prevents mold from growing on the filter. I generally use my humidifier on extremely dry days in winter, and when anyone has a sinus infection, to improve breathing. I use the low setting and don't use it every night, because everyone's allergies get worse if too much humidity starts causing mold and dust mites.
Cleaning a humidifier is very important. Dump the tank each time you refill. Rinse it thoroughly with hot water. Rinse the filter thoroughly with very hot water, and wipe down the filter reservoir if it has one, to remove residue the remains after the water dries. Wipe a cloth over the vents. I often reverse my filter so that the other end is in the water. This seems to help extend the life of the filter. Any loose particles can end up in the air blowing from the humidifier.
Good luck, and if you try the bowls of water, I hope it works for you.
It would work better if you have something like a towel hanging into the water. The towel will wick up the water and evaporate quicker. Also look at one of those little water features they sell. the tranquility ones.
Hi Mike, it certainly will. It is highly recommended that people running air conditioners, electric fires, gas fires etc should have a unit containing water to replace moisture in the air. I have been doing it for yonks. This is especially important for the elderly as well. Try it, you have lost nothing if it doesn't work for you Good luck
Air conditioning dehumidifies air.
Humid air gives up moisture (condensation) when it contacts the cold evaporator. Same thing that happens on the outside of a cold soda can.
You have limited options. Any humidity you add to the room, will eventually be removed by the A/C. Not really a big problem, but it will reduce your A/C unit's capacity and could lead to ice on the evaporator if you are trying to get your room too cool.
I don't know your climate, but if it is arid, consider trying an evaporative cooler... also known as a swamp cooler.
It cools differently than A/C by sending water vapor though the space to absorb heat and then expels the heated moisture outside. A/C and evaporative coolers ARE NOT compatible together.
If you're rent is paid and there is a bona-fide health issue, you should (check your local laws) be able to hire someone to fix it and have it billed to your landlord.
Edit: Wow, remind me to never live in Arizona. Here in Maine, renters have rights. Sorry...
You need to move out. Did you see that show where the father is essentially brain damaged as if he was suffocated and left brain damage and their three year old died? You need to run when kids are involved, it starts with the loss of short term memory...
Thats very serious. I would call your county or state health dept and see if they could force action on your landlord. Im taking a law class right now and as a renter you are entitled to a safe and sound house. Dont pay for it to get fixed i think he has x amount of days to fix it. As far as asthma symptoms go, i would tell your son/daughter to just keep his/her inhaler with them and remember to replace your houses air filter every month that will help.
get a test kit from home depot. then call the landlord and tell him to fix it or you will call the health department.
Then try small claims if you have to.
code enforcer just mention those 2 words, this is not funny you have children in that house, this is what you do the money you were going to pay for rent you pay Mr fix it,you keep all receipts from the company as proof to any jugde for this is the reason why you did not pay your rent,it went to fix the apt.Your kids come first.
Tell him you are contacting the health department in Arizona, or actually contact them.
If you decide you want to move out and he will not let your out of your lease then read about "constructive eviction" if your landlord's failure to act makes your apartment uninhabitable you have a few options
Sorry is too much...... have no time, do not consider the internet tooling translations are not good!!
you should keep your room as neet as youc and not have any one come and make you clean ti up cause if i was you i would tell the preson you are staying with can help you out with your suff than you wort be along

The Law of Conservation of Energy. In order to cool the air coming out of the machine, some other air must be warmed. The net effect will be at best a 0 change in average temperature and at worst an increase, due to the inefficiencies in the air conditioner. This is why air conditioners must have their exhaust pumped out of the room that is being cooled.
such machines function in accordance with the inverse Carnot cycle and so it takes heat from the room to be cooled and gives it up to a source with a higher temperature, the surrounding. the machine you describe would function with a single source (room air) and so not in in accordance with an inverse Carnot cycle!
Well the textbook answer is The Law of Conservation of Energy, but if I was going to be a smartass I would point out that we could also use the electrical cable and outlet as a heat sink to remove heat, not just for power, if the device was a heat pump.
So seriously in all reality it could cool the room.
(The point being that IF THE SYSTEM IS NOT ISOLATED, due to being able to conduct heat away, THEN ENERGY IS NOT NECESSARILY CONSERVED.)
Energy can neither be created nor destroyed so the amount of heat energy that was in the room when the machine was first turned on remains in the room. When the power was turned on electrical energy from outside the room entered into the machine which then added to the total energy within the room. Most of this energy was added to the air to cause it to move around the room. Other of that energy was used to make the machine move to overcome friction Friction in the machine and also between the air particles would cause all of the air to get hotter. The room would get hotter not cooler.
It would be a simple thing to test - just leave the door of your refrigerator (icebox) open for a few hours. What a clever way to warm a room in the middle of winter :)
awe that sux
every cloud has a silver lining of some sort.im sure your not ugly,
umm..maybe you could try and get a part time job.
yo, dream BIG, when u wake up in the morning, go jogging, do push ups and sit ups lose ur weight ull feel better and ull be healthier, no matter wat u can have a positive attitude, take up something that with lots of practice ull be really good and famous, like music or something that'll just be so awesome and make u rise to the top then u can help other in ur position
Hey, you're still young, what do you mean you have nothing to live for?! There's still SO much time for things to change. As for school, seek help from teachers, they will understand your situation and try to help in anyway they can. Contact Social Services. Look up! You're only 15! Don't worry, things WILL change. :D
GOOD LUCK!
wow, let me just ask you how would your mom and dad feel hearing this? now let me tell you my family is to in this situation, only difference is that im the mother of 6 kids timmy 16, ryan 14, alexander 12, melissa 8, emily 4, and jesse james 2, and i got to tell you that weather you believe it or not you are the most important person to your parents yes it's hard to take care of a family but in these hard times families need each other your parents are probally fighting because of stress thats not your fault try to tell them how you feel if that does'nt work then e-mail me and i will try to get you through it because ive been there. and as for food sometimes we have had to go to food banks (even with my husbands good job) try the salvation army and may god bless you kid:)
you need to go to your schoold and speak with the counselor there are many programs in the community that can help your family. Your family is not doing this to you on pupose but they just can't make it.. There are alot of things they can do for you. Explain that your parents are very humble and to ebarrased to ask for help. The school will also understand why your work has been effected. Go to your counselor and tell them everything I promise they can help. There are food programs like commodities and places that will help pay bills too. Keep you chin up you are still alive try to this and help you and your family
Things arent going to change overnight, but they will get better. Dont do anything stupid that you will regret. I cannot say I understand how you feel and that wouldnt help, but I am so sorry for the situation. Please just try to take a positive look on things and believe that it will truly get better. When ur older people will not care whether u were popular in school. Try to keep your grades up if you can because your future is important.
It's all in how you look at it:
You say it's hot and you are hungry. Well being that you are fat, consider this a free way to shed a few pounds.
If you are tired and can't understand your math teacher, so much the better, you can sleep in her class.
And what's with this "we" can't buy stuff...you mean your mom and dad can't...you don't contribute money to the household...at least not yet...hint hint.
See? You actually have it pretty good! You just didn't see it before.
Sweetie I understand what you're going through. I'm fat, did horribly at school at times, had HUGE family problems when I lived at home, AND I was suicidal at points. All I can say is the truth, which is that things WILL get better, and don't give up yet. Take things one day at a time and if you need ANYONE to talk to you can ALWAYS pass me an e-mail. Fur rlz, for years all I really had were online friends to help me through the bad times. They are my best friends to this day, but now years later I am in a better place than I was and I am so happy I decided to not do anything drastic!
smith.abby88@yahoo.com if you need anyone to talk to. :) ?
Life has it's ups and downs, and everybody has their "downs". I've been through times in my life where I felt like nothing would ever be alright, but I toughed it out and ended up feeling a lot better.
I'm sure you are not fat and ugly. A lot of people percieve themselves in a negative way. Something that you don't like about yourself has probably gone unnoticed by others. You are your harshest critic!
Before you fall asleep every night, repeat a mantra to yourself. Tell yourself how beautiful you are, and soon enough you will start to believe it! Say the things that you feel lucky for, even if you cannot think of a lot right now, I'm sure there are more things that you haven't realized.
You are such a strong girl and I am so sorry that things are hard right now. Stay strong and I hope that things pick up!
xoxo
just rember this will not be your life forever, some day you will move out and start your life . and you will always have something all of those rich kids will never have. you will know what it is like to do without therefore you will always appricate what you will have. you can make something good come out of everything bad
always look on th bright side life
and it always gets worse before it gets better.
just rember the phonix rises from the ashes.
some of the sayings i say to myself every day.
good luck my dear and just remember you r beautiful and you r a loveing caring person. and your life WILL get better.
I know times can be hard, sweetie, I am 25 and when I was growing up I often felt that way too. We also had times where church people would have to bring food to our door. I remember my dad and brother digging through garbage cans for pop cans and food to eat. Thankfully we were never homeless, there was a time when we did lose our home, but a nice family in the church took all us in till we could find a place. There was also constant fighting in my home too, so much. It was horrible. I went to work for a old lady who had a garden just so I could get things I needed like soap and shampoo, I worked for her from age 7 and it didn't end until after I turned 20, I remember one night starring at my hands crying thinking someday I am going to use them to end my life.
I promise though through it all it does get better. You are in an akward age where you want so much to be in control. To get over your feelings of having nothing to live for, you need to think of the people in your life that love you. Death is forever, you can't take it back. You have your future to live for. If you have pets, you have them to live for. I don't know if you believe in God or prayer, but God has ALWAYS answered my prayers and I am going to pray that God will bless your family and help you to find your answer to life. Keep you head up, sweetie, I promise God is going to bring you the things you need.
Do you have any elderly people in your area that you could go to the shops for, Or help them with there chores. firstly it will get you out of the house and elderly people like to feed young ones for some reason. I was good looking when i was younger but i don't feel like i am now. And i don't care. That is the mistake people make including me in the past. You must start feeling good about yourself for your own sake, And don't make the mistake i made when i was younger i started feeling sorry for myself and i just got more depressed now i say that people can take me as i am if they don't like it then that's there problem l must go as it is 6:24am here and i have not been to bed yet you can e-mail my wife and i at any time if you need to talk good luck babe Kev x
This bad time in your life will pass! The best is yet to come, Sweetie. Maybe you could babysit for some spending money for yourself? Check with your local park district or school counselor to see if there are any babysitting classes available to you. It would provide you with the opportunity to make some new friends, too.
You will feel better about yourself if you make sure that you're clean and fresh; fix your hair before you go to school and wear your clothes that you feel good in. Polish your nails. These may sound like small things, but can boost your self-esteem so much. When you look your best you'll feel better about yourself.
Your parents are probably fighting because they're stressed out, too. There are many programs designed especially for families that are in a situation like yours that they can look into. They can get help with food, bills, and more and shouldn't be too proud to do so. Hopefully they will check into some of them. Ask your Mom if she'd like for you to check online for agencies in your area. You are not alone, many, many people are having financial problems these days. It's nothing to be ashamed of and things will get better as time goes on. There is no reason that you should have to go hungry! If your parents don't qualify for public aid there are many food pantries especially created for families in crisis.
You might want to consider talking to your math teacher privately after class. Your teacher is just a person like anyone else. Tell her that you're having some problems at home and that you're sorry you haven't been able to concentrate lately. Ask her if she has any solutions to help you do better.
It feels like it will be this way forever, but believe me, before you know it you will be grown and on your own. Do your best in school, hold your head high and dream big. Follow your heart and remember that God always hears your prayers.
I wish I could give you a simple answer, but there isn't one.
Often I have considered killing myself and twice I tried.
Remember suicide kills two people sometimes three. That is what it is for. I could not do that to my parents.
My oldest daughter has tried it. I was able to stop her, but I never want to hurt like that again.
I have been hours away from loosing my house. My children have been cold, and hungry. I have gone days without food so my children would eat.
It is real and it happens in the modern world.
I do not know where you are not Europe or N America because of the heat. Counselors and teachers at school should be able to help if only to send you to help. It is a start. Church can help. More than that is largely out of your hands right now, but you can do that. It WILL help and it will help you feel better because you can make a difference. Start building a plan with your parents, teachers, and counselors.
Many people have been through this and none of us liked it
okay, i'm a 55 year old mother with 8 sons. and believe it or not there is no such thing as an ugly 15 year old woman. turn on your tv or take a walk or look in a magazine. there's all kinds of women who look all different ways, different sizes, different colors, different styles, and what makes people like looking at them isn't that they are perfect whatever that is. it's that they hold their heads up, meet people eyes, and believe in themselves. I have always lived in the desert near Palm Springs. keep your hair pulled back away from your face and up off your neck in the heat. avoid heavy makeup during the day and remember a paper towel dipped in water and wiped across the neck, forhead, and chest will cool you down some and make you feel better. you are bright, that's obvious, and you have access to the internet and there are hundreds of websites that can help you with highschool math. i know its no fun to be broke but at least you won't get any fatter on that diet. but most of all you are not a powerless child. you are a young woman with a whole world of possibilities in front of you. read a biography or two. you'll see that hard times don't have to break you. sometimes they just season you enough to make you interesting. and good luck. oh yah, i'm old, ugly, wrinkled, and broke myself but i have more dates now than i ever did in highschool. life is worth living.
first, know that nothing lasts forever. Even though everything feels overwhelming right now you have to hang in there. I have depression and I do yoga positions that give me energy and make me feel better. Try and talk to your parents if you think they will be receptive. Being down on yourself and destroying yourself is not going to help anyone and will devastate your parents. And know that none of this is your fault. Please be nice to yourself and find a way to stop thinking such negative thoughts. I had a pretty rough run in my teens and I never thought I would survive but now I have a great life and am so thankful that I stuck it out. Nothing lasts forever so just take it one day at a time.
you are on the right track because you are asking for help, so that is great. keep asking for help, talk to people online, teachers at school, school councelor, look in the phone book for helplines, anything that you can think of.
your life is worth living, at the moment you are going through some very hard times. it sounds like your parents are trying there best they can with less income. they love you, - they are your parents- your family, talk to them if you can. that is the one thing you do have- your family.
it sounds as though you are depressed, so you need to get help with this so you can feel better, the problems you have may not go away straight away, but if you get help you may learn how to deal with them the best way you can.
i hope your life gets better

Dont give up trust me! Be hopeful. If nobodys is there for you do your own thing. Ignore their problems and deal with yours. Do good in school and save money so you can move out.
they arent made to come out easily.
there might be some screws on the outside lean out and check, maybe 1 on top and 1 on bottom. then see if you can pull the window to the side, if you can slide it to the middle of the window frame. there should be a notch on the upper track so that you can lift it out.
If you dont have any luck sliding it (they will stick) you can use a wedge against the sidewall of the window frame maybe a board with a towell between the wall. We had suction cups you would stick to the glass that you could really grab and yank.
Also if none of this is possible they do sell AC units that sit inside and have a piece of flex duct that you connect to fresh air. (so it can get rid of heat)
there is a cleat usually top and bottom that anchors the stationary panel in a sliding window once remove it youll be fine its probably in there with finish nails that are set and puttied so itll break when remove it easy to make new one
just makes sure u use at least a spray to protect your hair from the heat. look for products like chi and ion. they also have shampoos and other products to use w/ straighteners
Not if you use a heat protection serum.
Hm...
There are a lot of straightening 'protectors' out there. There are so creams that you can put in your hair before you straighten it and it won't fry it so much. Pretty much anything you do with your hair it's going to damage it.
Permanent straightening I think will damage your hair more than flat ironing it everyday.
You can also buy different shampoo's and conditioners that repair your hair. Sunsilk I've learned works very well.
Hope this helped.
I think it would be OK...especially if you're just touching up. If permanent straightening didn't ruin it, touchign up with a straightener shouldn't hurt it.
Use a deep conditoner once a week and you'll be fine.
depends on what brand of hair straightener you get. if you get the crappy ones yes it will look fried but if you buy the expensive ones like i'd recomend CHI its a really good brand and will not damage your hair
DONT BRING THE HEAT TO YOUR HEAD!!!!! Wavy hair is the best if you want it stright after you take a shower blow dry it the way you want it but take a shower inthe morning.
i dont have perm. straighting and i get up and get in the shower in teh morning and blo dry my haird straight then i straighten it to make it less fluffy. and my ends are not to bad. i do this everyday!
it shouldnt fry your hair as long as the striaghtener isnt a cheap junky one, they make spray and creams that you can use that woth help make your hair striaght. i dont know about the permant striaght though, it probably would leave it alone because my one friend has a perm and she uses a straightener alot and the next time that she washes her hair it goes back to being curly. just dont get a cheap one, they will fry your hair, remington has a good striaghting line that works well, and it isnt as expensive as some of the other ones
use heat protection spray and get your ends cut every 6 weeks. and touching up your bangs and wavy parts with a straightener while you have the permanent straightning is not bad. i straighten my hair everyday (all of it) and i manage to keep it healthy looking. and no the straightener will not cause the perm to go away
All hair chemicals should be done by a professional.
If funds are limited I would suggest that you to visit a cosmetology school where the students are supervised by licensed cosmetology instructors who've had experience with hair care services. Good luck!
well the starightener I have says "DO NOT USE ANY HAIR PRODUCTS THIS IRON CONTAINS CHEMICALS THAT MAKE SURE NOT TO DAMAGE YOUR HAIR" anyways something like that, so you could get one like that, but for my old starightener I used this spray stuff called "BEYOND THE ZONE" and it is from sallys...its under $10.00...it comes in an orange bottle...well good luck!
It all depends what kind of products you use...(I tryed the wet to dry staightener, which claimed it was healthier for my hair, but i looked like a mess of split ends after i straightened it) I straighten my hair daily, and I reccomend conair products.....It'sbest if you use a serum on your hair before you straighten, like Hair toys shine serum, or Garnier sleek and shine. You can also use that after to make it look more sleek. I like to use Herbal Essences dangerously sraight finishing spray after i straighten to keep it in palce and keep the fizzles at bay. I know it seems like alot of stuff to do in the morning just for sraight hair, but it's not at all. Another possibility is using Herbal Essances Dangerously Straight Shampoo and conditioner, it keeps it pretty straight, but not as good as it would with a straightening iron..................It also depends on your hair.....

What ever temp you are comfortable at. The bird will be ok as long as it isn't a drastic drop. Just make sure the air is not blowing on the bird, keep him out of the draft
Don't make it too cold or the bird will get a chill. About normal house temp. is good!
Optimum for their respiratory system is 72 F, with around 50% humidity.
This is very difficult to obtain in most homes, though. Try to keep them out of drafts, and to get as much sunshine as possible, but always have a shaded area for them to be in.
Use a humidistat in their room to use as a guide.
Fod Aerostar? That's like how Jimmy Carter would say it.
you have a short somewere. the process of elimination can find it if you have patience.
Sounds like you have an open wire that is draining the battery need to get that looked at before you end up replacing the battery again
parasitic drain. technician has to first determine which circuit is causing the drain, then following the schematic, find the component or wire at fault.
check your ground wires, use the haynes manual, or look up the schematic online. you can make your own ground system. check your fuses.
http://www.s10forum.com/forum/f202/big-three-big-3-upgrade-how-to-321330/#post4590136
You have a parasitic draw. The easiest way to find it is to hook up an amp meter or test light in line with either of your battery cables and its post. First pull the big wire off the back of the alternator, (be careful it's hot all the time and see if your draw goes down to less than 30 milliamps or so or if your test light goes completely out. If not. Pull fuses one at a time to see which circuit has the draw on it.
its very probable your a/c clutch stays on. be sure your switch is in the off position when leaving your car. also check under hood when car is running with a/c on that the a/c clutch disengages sometimes: thats normal activity.
Try it once with the alternator unhooked (both plug and bolt on "supply cable)"! I have seen a few with "leaking diodes", - which checked fine on charging check, -- but "sucked out power" when sitting! Some will argue this in not possible, but you will think different,-- if you have one!
You can also insert a "cheap checker" between one of battery cabels and battery to see if it has any "flow through the vehicle wiring! The cheapest and simplest "checker " I have come up with is an old headlight bulb that has one good element left in it! Put a couple wires on it that are long enough so that you can put is somewhere that is easy to see. Hook wires between battery cable and battery! Any flow above about 1/2 amp will cause the light to glow, - the higher the draw, the brighter the light will become! You can now start checking out switches, unhooking accessories(pulling fuses) etc.,-- till you find out which circuit is causing the "draw" (or drain)!
This same light setup works equally well when searhing for a short that blows fuses!-- then you just hook the two wires into or onto the fuse terminal connections, and as long as the light stays on,- the short is there, -- when it goes out you are near (or have found short)! so don't throw it away when you are finished! Now I happen to have meters and all sorts of checking equipment, - but sometimes it is easier and faster to use this! I don't need to look impressive, -- just get the job done and out of the way!
Check for any obvious parasitic draws -- are the courtesy lights staying on long after you turn the car off?
Here's a site that contains links covering various types of portable air conditioners.
http://www.air-conditioner-america.com/default.asp?utm_source=YahooPaidInc&utm_medium=PPC&utm_term=TLP
I have one that uses 110 VAC and has a hot air discharge vent that fits into a partially closed window. I only need it a couple of weeks out of the year. Most of the time, it's not hot enough and we get a good sea breeze living by the coast. But, sometimes we go through hot spells where we really need it. It keeps half of the house cool during the day (living room and den) and keeps our bedroom cool at night.
It's some kind of off brand. But, it's made in Japan. I think it works pretty well for what it is. I don't know how much it cost, because my daughter left it at the house when she moved out for college. I don't think it was more than a coupla-few hundred dollars, though.
He obviously climbed on the computer desk to get your attention - will he let you go up to him and stroke him? (Please add more details and I will get back to you because I'm a bit of a cat expert!)
mabey he is in love or is in need of attention. thats what my cat did but in a differnt way. we just lived with it. now he does what ever we wont, or mabey its hungry, or hurt
My cat does stuff like that. She has her usual favoured places depending upon the time of day, then out of the blue she'll change her sleeping place to a new one for no apparent reason
he is humping your pillow at night?
did the cat have any connection with the ex bf.....
Could be the scent of the sweater. He may really like the way it smells. Cats have a great sense when things are bothering us so maybe he knows something is going on with your sister too. I am sure he will be fine though. Hes not sick so I wouldn't worry too much about it.
he probably just had a sudden burst of energy, or a sudden urge to explore something he never has before. I catch my mother-in-law's cat doing this all the time. he also zooms around the house and it sounds like a herd of elephants.
if he's all squished up its probably a security thing. he's all rolled up because it feels cozy and safe. not that he was in any danger, but cats just like confined spaces when they are relaxing.
Kitties see little things and hop up on furniture to try to get it. Could be a little speck of dust floating around, or whatever.
As far as plastic bags and clothes, cats LOVE plastic bags and piles of clothes. They like the feeling of plastic, and clothes are a nice little nook for them. They sink in and it's like a little makeshift bed. Being in enclosed spaces is comofrtable too for them, as long as they always know their way out.
If your cat has never done this before, maybe he just realized. I've had a kitten that for two years never sat between my computer desk and my wall, and something led her there once, and bam, it was her spot. Perhaps your kitten stumbled upon his spot.
It appears normal enough. I could see where it would raise some questions considering he's never done this though.
Cats can fit in the smallest places. They like to be in ones that they see they won't be disturbed at or they can't be bothered easily in there. He may have taken the sweater as he may sense that as the smell of the now ex bf and he may not have seen that person around so he is using it for a cover or blanket to lay on now. It can be that the cat likes privacy.I bet he went on top of your computer desk to get a good view of what he wanted to curl up on, saw the clothes pile and picked the sweater as it's not being used now. Or he likes the material it's made of.
you did not say what the make or model was so who knows?
Sounds about right, maybe just a bit high, although losing the freon isn't reason to replace the unit. Typically I'd find and repair the leak before suggesting replacement. In Ohio, a 4 ton condensing unit (low dollar) will run around $1000 (wholesale). I'd imagine that things cost a bit more in LA. Ask your contractor why they want to replace instead of repair. Good luck.
no i would get a second opinion also check out the business with the BBB
Seems a little expensive, but things are higher out there.
best way to decide is get at least two quotes, three is better, for repair of unit verses new 4 ton air conditioner. then compare prices. if the repair is70% or more of the cost of a new unit you would be wise to purchase the new one. keep in mind most all air conditioners have a life span of 10-15 years regardless of what a manufacturer may claim.
Sounds about right. But just to be on the safe side, get a couple more "bids", not "quotes". A "bid" is an estimate and your final cost will be more. A "quote" is a fixed price negotiated between you and the contractor. Watch out for those that want 100% payment up front in exchange for a lower price. They will take your money and you will never see them again. Pay no more than 50% down, and then the balance when all work is satisfactorily done.
thats about right the cost of r-22 is going threw the roof
If you are just having a coil replaced that is high, if you are having the whole unit replaced it sounds more reasonable. And if your all your freon leaked out then the leak was too large to be repaired so you would need a replacement. I would recommend calling around, some HVAC companies like the one I work for offer free estimates, sorry I live nowhere close to LA. Also if you change the unit I would suggest one that uses 410 puron refrigeration, because it will very soon be replacing R22 freon.
-Hamsters and gerbils aren't much different except for size.
-Get a regular Hamster, not any of the more exotic ones, it will be more likely to be nice.
-Just go to your local pet store, I don't think you will find them somewhere else.
-Hamsters are naturally desert creatures and like to be warm.
-The hamster would be more likely to harm the ferrets, by biting them, the ferrets wouldn't mind the hamster. -I know this from experience, my hamster attacked my guinea pig, while the ferrets didn't mind the guinea pig.
This question really depends on what you are looking for with a pet. Hamsters are nocturnal.....gerbils are active during the day.
Depending on the hamster, they can be easier to hold once tame. But, this is not always the case.
Gerbils are social creatures, more than one can live in a cage (provided they are from the same litter). Hamsters are usually solitary (except the dwarf hamsters, they can live together but sometimes will still fight).
I would honestly just keep your pets in the house if possible. I don't think the ferrets being in there will stress the hamster. Just don't let them out at the same time as the hamster and make sure that when they are out they can't get to the hamster.
As far as male/female there really isn't much of a difference.
You could look at a site like www.craigslist.com or something to find hamsters but, depending on where you live a pet store might be the only place. You could try petfinder.com too but I've not seen hamsters or gerbils on there much.
Petsmart takes care of their animals, their breeder wasn't. There is a difference in that.
I hope I have answered most if not all of your questions.....
Hamsters are much more stinky then gerbils. The gerbils cage will stay cleaner longer.
evey thing they say is true ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
1)hamster
2) syrian hamster.
3) any where near by and somewhere that look clean. always get a small hamster.
4)well hamster could live in winter andin summer but not to much cold air or warm air cuz it could kill them and maybe i never saw ur garage
5)well the hamster could get scared and bit them which could cause problem so don't put them together or evern near each other. good luck
hope this helps
The best Hamster is a Black Bear Hamster. I got one three days ago. I thought Males were better than females but with this kind of hamster there both awsome creatures!
-hamsters and gerbils are pretty much the same, but hamster are nocturnal animals, unless you can somehow train them
-i would suggest dwarf hamsters, they seem to get along well with other hamsters
-finding gerbils would be easier to find at an adoption center. I've heard the petsmart isn't good at taking care of animals, but I've been there before (for supplies) and all the animals LOOKED fine, but I'm not sure
-the garage would be fine as long as there were no fumes from cars in there (could be dangerous to the hamster/gerbil)
-I don't think the hamster would be stressed out being NEAR the ferrets, but I wouldn't suggest letting the ferrets and hamsters commute.
Good luck!!!!!
u should get a guinea pig!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I say get a teddy bear hamster. I have one and they are adorable. Get a male. they are more friendly than female hamsters.
Any pet store. I personally got mine at petsmart. I didn't know that they didn't take care of them properly but think of it like this. You are saving a hamster from somewhere he is not being treated properly.
DO NOT put your hamster in the garage it is un healthy and un safe.
you probably should take you ferrets out of the garage and you can keep them in the same room, but on oposite sides one might get frightened,
goos luck!
Hamster
Teddy Bear
PetCo (You are right about PetSmart. They pamper the Dogs and Cats)
Oh. Don't get a female then. they stink in warm temps.
Yes.
I think you should get a hamster.
Hamsters and gerbils are about the same but I find hamsters more cute and friendlier.
You should get a Golden hamster or teddy bear hamster or a Syrian hamster, they are very friendly, easy to care for and cute.
You should buy your pet at pet land or from a breeder.
I don't think you should put your hamster in the garage because it has a lot of gas and it smells a lot so it could be toxic to your hamster.
I think if you put your hamster close to your ferret then it could get scared, and as you said stressed.
Anyways...I hope i helped you and good luck! :)
I think i have a similar problem only mine stops been frizzy as soon as i straighten it. Try that. Otherwise try mousing it.
xxx
Wow, to think that in the 80"s that was considered hot.
I have thick dry hair that can look frizzy after I wash it. Trust me, coconut oil found in the food section is the best stuff out there. I have tried endless hair products and there all the same...nothing ever stood out BUT coconut oil is the best kept secret.
you need to straighten it, or put in a hair serum to calm the frizz.
Right... if your hair is naturally frizzy... If you leave it to dry naturlly or just waft it through with the hairdryer... it is going to stay in its natural kinda state... hair has to be pulled into shape... therefore use a round bristley brush and blow dry your hair keeping tension with your brush... it will dry alot smoother...
Each hair is made up of bonds... when there hair is wet these bonds break apart... when it drys they fix back together in there natural state unless u style the hair with tension to fix these bonds in place how you want your hair to be...
products only help you to style the hair easyer.
hope you understand I tried to say it in none technical terms xxx
Colour cant really be the reason for this i dont think. Maybe use a little gel when your hair is wet and rub it in and then let it dry, sometimes it can go crispy, if it does this, you can always use mousse with a firm hold.
Hi! I had that exact same problem! I highly doubt that its because you dyed your hair though! I recomend blowdrying it until it is completly dry. Then with a clip, pull your hair up and leave a little section down. Flat-iron your hair by sections.! hope i helped good luck!
Mine Is Like That Too When Ev, I Go To The HAir stylist It Doses The Same Thing They Hate doing My Hair I Usually Go To Bed W/ It Wet Put It In A pony Tail Thats What I Do But My HAir is Naturally Curly!
Good Luck
~well i would try to use some products if i was you, i like "FrizzEase" they have Alot of products that you can put in your hair to help tame frizz.
~ my hair is very wavey if i let it air dry and i dont like it. i blow dry my hair every time i get out of the shower and it straightens my hair alot and tones down the frizz. i also straighten my hair wich really gets rid of my frizz.
~ if you are afriad that blow drying and or straightening your hair is going to damage it, then you can always buy a product that helps protect hair from heat.
~ there is no realy way i dont think to get your hair to just magically be not frizzy, your going to have to take more time and style it.
(long response sorry)
hope that helped =]
